Paper Dimensions

Of all the dimensions of paper, the sizes A3 and A4 are most commonly used. Similarly, the paper sizes are also measured in points system, Pica System, HPGL system. Besides this, the different paper sizes are also in Thou, Yard, Feet, etc. One can refer to the dimensions of paper in any form, they are comfortable in.

The general rule of the bulk digital scanning process is that the smaller the paper number, the larger is its size. For example, 4A0 is the largest available paper. Similarly, the larger the paper number, the smaller is its size. For instance, A10 dimension of paper has the smallest dimension.

What is Bulk Paper Scanning?

Types of the Paper :

The size A0 [84.1 x 118.9 cm] papers are usually used for technical drawings or by designers and copy shops. They are also, sometimes, used in poster creation.

These papers with size 59.4 x 84.1 cm are used in technical drawings and advertisement purposes. Maps and posters are also drawn in these papers.

These paper sizes i.e. 42.0 x 59.4 cm cm usually finds its application in printing photos, drawing, charts and posters, etc.

A3 [29.7 x 42.0 cm] along with A4 paper sizes usually are available in the form of magazines, posters and photos. Also, they are used for drawings, certificates, etc. Leaflets used for promotions uses these paper sizes normally.

A4 [21.0 x 29.7 cm] papers are the most common size of papers widely accepted in maximum countries of the world for printing purposes. This is usually used in forms and letterheads. Moreover, children’s book, encyclopedia, magazines and school notepads are available in this format of papers.

ISO Papers

The ISO 216 paper sizes are the most commonly used paper in the digitizing process. This, generally, refers to the A, B and C paper types.
